Investment in me

Pre Trip Blog: This was a different kind of trip. At first I thought it was about a mission trip for Quest 4 God ministry. Of course we would do ministry but that wasn’t the main reason why we went. We do ministry everyday not just on mission trips btw. LOL So come to find out it was more of an investment into my life. Like me personally, me, my life and who God created me to be. That was a little mind blowing. I was asked to go to Spokane, Washington to sing and play my guitar and I have to say I was very hesitant to go. I didn’t have the courage and boldness to put myself out there in front of people to sing. I was being chicken. Hahaha! To be truthful. You know when you know that you know your suppose to do something called by God to do but you try to fight it. Well that how I felt about this trip But I got to thinking about it and praying of course and God said it would be best if I went. I had a lot of prayer and encouragement by people that loved me as well and seen what God was doing in me though this trip. I just had to surrender and trust God in every way. Work, finances, going to new places, places to stay. I didn't have the faith to see every need meet at that time before the trip. All I can do is take one step at a time. Some days were tough and others I was on fire excited to go. Sure enough everything lined up after I surrendered and really opened up my heart to going. I got time off of work with no problem. My boss was even happy for me. I had worked 2 weeks before the trip like crazy. LOL The extra finances helped with gas and places to stay. Which I was very thankful for after working that many hours. I’m going to be honest, I didn’t think I was gonna make it. I’m sometimes dead tired just working 25-30hrs LOL But God had a plan and it was amazing! Trip: We left Saturday morning August 3rd and didn’t return until August 10th. It was a whole week we were gone. Let me tell you, it went by soooo quickly! It's like the days flew by. Our first rest stop was in Modesto, CA. About 6hrs from where we live. It started off great until we hit traffic going over the grape vine. We were stuck in traffic for an hour. There was a car that had caught on fire and then the whole hillside caught fire. It was honestly pretty scary. The smoke was very thick and the fire was huge! We stood calm and just prayed it through. We went through the fire and didn’t get burned! Woohoo! That's a promise right there! Thank you Jesus! We arrived in Modesto,CA around 6pm and had a great fellowship time with our friends from Fruit of the Spirit Ministry. They were kind enough to host us in their home that night. They are so loving and welcoming, they feel like people I have known forever. Have you ever met people like that? It was truly a blessed time. After dinner they invited us to church they have been attending and we prayed and got yes to go. We were a little surprised God said go since we had an 8 ½ hr drive ahead of us the next day. Obviously God wasn't too worried about it. I was since I was the one driving hahaha but overall I knew it was going to be okay. It's better to be obedient then to miss out on your blessings, I always say. We woke up the next morning and went to church! I'm so glad we did. Worship was awesome. They played a few country songs, which I love. It was totally something different and we were able to meet more sisters and brothers in Christ. We received prayer from a women that God told Angelina to ask her to pray for us. She was so sweet and willing to pray for us even though she didn’t even know us. It's amazing how Papa God always sets us up with people to pray for us for what we he has us to fulfill in the Kingdom of God. We had the opportunity to pray for the Pastor of the church and we were able to pray for people in the congregation. That’s always exciting! Its so funny because all the words I got to tell people in that church had to do with food. That was a first. God knows their hearts and he knows what speaks to them.

Here is the video if you would like to watch it after we left that church on Sunday morning.

After that video we drove to Redding, CA. That was our second rest stop. We had thought about resting in the Bethel’s ALABASTER PRAYER HOUSE before we shot up to Eugene, Oregan. Just because of the long ride we didn't want to over do it. We thought we could rest our eyes and stay still for awhile. When we arrived at Bethel Church there was a lot of car and car kept approaching the building. We went to go check it out and they had a Sunday night service. We ended up staying for worship. It was definitely refreshing and recharging to say the least. I love the way they worship God. Leaving California was so beautiful. The trees and the river was so breathtaking. It was during the sunset hours, the colors and temperature were perfect! Picture perfect. I didn't really care much for driving through the mountains at night to Eugene, OR but we made it safely to our hotel in Springfield, OR that night. We slept great! Oh I forgot to mention we sang for hours driving to our hotel that night. Singing and BBQ chicken wings we bought at a gas station were the only things keeping me awake. Lol I've had a lot of buffalo chicken wings in my life and those were delicious 👌

Next blog is about Washington!
