Mission Trip to Modesto,CA
This past week has been amazing! Something came up on Wednesday(6/26) morning that we were not expecting. We found out that the ministry we were going to bless in Sacramento was no longer able to meet with us. It was definitely unexpected but God worked it out. We prayed and God still led us to go to Modesto,CA. Our trip started early Thursday morning. We rented a car from the local airport(18miles away) and we had total favor with them. You can check out the video here: https://youtu.be/mQ23v1nt9b4 I picked up the car and then ran some errands with Angelina. After she dropped me off at work since I didn't get Thursday off. PTL After work we went to Burbank,CA to pray for a ministry team that we haven't seen in over 2yrs. They also prayed and spoke words of encouragement over us. It was a lot of confirmation that we needed to keep on moving forward. It was such a blessing to see them. Friday we continued to get ready to drive over to Modesto,CA. You know like packing and getting stuff situated in the car and not forgetting anything lol Well, a few days before the trip Angelina had a dream her grandson was coming with us. We prayed about it and sure enough he came with us. He is 10yrs old going to be 11yrs old at the end of the year. He was excited and so were we! Three of us going to Modesto!!! Since, Sacramento got cancelled I prayed about what to do with the donations and God showed me a ministry that I do outreach with. They are also a homeless outreach ministry. They happened to be having a fundraiser (firework stand) nearby on Friday. I prayed and asked the Lord on what to do and he said take the donations to them. I believe they were meant for Sacramento but things happen and now this other ministry gets it. It stays within the family. I was sad but it is, what it is. God always works it out. As long as I listen to God and do as he says I'm staying in his perfect peace. Saturday we woke up and hit the road. This is our short video of us ready to go: https://youtu.be/OVrMjSbwDM0 We made a few stops on the way there since it's about close to 6hrs to get there. We made a stop at a KOA(campground) to check it out to see if we wanted to stay there for the night. They only had one spot left since it was 4th of July weekend. We decided to stay to get it and we had a nice time of refreshment. Since we had left the house at 6am and got to the campground around 11am. That was a good 4hrs drive. They had a pool, which Angelina's grandson loved. Since we had time he went in the pool as Angelina and I took turns to get ready for the next part of the day. We had total favor at the KOA! The lady let us check in at 11am instead of 2pm(which is the normal check in time) We were extremely thankful! We were all nice and refreshed and ready to hit the road again. Visalia is where the campground was so drove around and prayed for that town. After an hour we headed to Modesto! Woohoo!!! We were planning on coming back that night since we didn't have a place booked to stay in Modesto. I wasn't looking forward to the drive back lol We arrive around 5:35pm to Fruit of the Spirit ministry for their Love Worship once a month. They welcomed us and invited us to play and sing along with them. It was awesome!!!Â

God definitely showed up and we had a wonderful time! I sang and played the guitar for a little while and Angelina did a prophetic painting. Which was very encouraging to them. They had a lot of instruments that we had the opportunity to use as well. It was so fun! We prayed and definitely encouraged one another. Â

On this trip I had such a sense of family. Like it really hit the core of my innermost being. Growing up in a family that didn't love Jesus or did not have a relationship with God, they lacked on showing what true family is. So now that I'm in the body of Christ and adopted by him and the Kingdom of heaven, I'm experiencing what it should really be like. So many of you have prayed for us. So many have supported us. So many of you have helped us fulfill the plans that God has for us. The ministry we visited totally welcoming and showing the Father's love. It was so precious. They welcomed us to their home and we fellowship with them. It reminded me of how it was in the book of Acts when the apostle's would go out and visit other places and delivered messages to the people. They sometime welcomed them and other times didn't but that didn't stop them! I am overwhelmed by his love and by how good he is! This trip was successful, fulfilling and can't wait to hear what he has for us next. Thank you for your prayers & blessings everyone!!! May this mission trip encourage you to step out in faith and do what God has called you to do.
