I was scheduled to work that day at 2pm and I had the opportunity to either take the bus or an Uber.
My first thought is UBER! For sure, it's fast, easy and just one stop. But because I want the best of what God had for me I asked him out of relationship. I got the unction to take the bus. Now, I have to walk about 15mins down the street to the bus stop. Which really isn't that bad. So, I went on my merry little way and when I got to the bus stop there was a lady standing there. I smiled and said hi and she just started talking about her day and then her current situation and then her life. At first I was a little hesitant to keep the conversation going but I knew she was telling me for a reason. I looked at her while she was telling me that her, her husband and son were sleeping at the Stater brothers parking lot at night. I was a shocked that she was telling me a lot of detail. Like about her work and housing and stuff that had gone on. About half way through our conversation I asked her if she believed in God and she said yes. I started hearing what God wanted me to say to her. I asked her if I can pray for her. She said yes. This was all before the bus arrived to pick us up. She close your eyes and bowed her head and put out her hands. She said no one has prayed for her in a long time, it's been years. That broke my heart, to be honest. This was an older lady, like my mom's age(57) and to know she has been walking around with out prayers. Omgosh!!! I prayed over her by the guidance of the Holy Spirit and she amened it.
When the bus came to pick us up she offered me to go first. She was so cute. I went in and sat in the middle with a seat open next to me. I asked if she would like to seat next to me. She said yes. She was so happy and looked completely different after I prayed for her. We talked about work and just kept it light. Then when it was time for me to get off she gave me a hug and thanked me. She was telling me she was going to tell her son about how so met a beautiful lady that prayered for her on the bus. I told her to come visit me at work to share with me the good new that God has done for her and the family. She smiled and said yes, she would. I haven't seen her yet but I know God is doing something amazing for them.
After I got off the bus, I started crying, if most of you know I'm a cryer. Which I'm perfectly fine with lol but my heart broke for her and her family. They had been through so much. I countiued to pray for her and still do when she comes to mind.
I just want to say that I am soooo glad that I took the bus that day. A women's life was changed because of someones obedience to listen to God. Praise be to God for giving me the words to speak to her. I didn't know her but God did!
Come close to me and I will come close to you~says The Lord
Encouragement to keep yourself open minded to what God has not only for you but for those around you.
Blessings,
