Welcome everyone!I hope your all having a fantastic week! Spring is almost here...Yay!!! I am looking forward to it. Are you? Now that the time as changed here in California I can’t wait till the flowers start blossoming. Spring is one of my favorite seasons. The colors of spring are very gorgeous and inspiring.
This passed weekend I had a yard sale but I did it a little different. I set up a canopy, two tables with my jewelry in an L shape with a few things. It looked like a little store front or pop up shop. I had received a word from a friend that the yard sale was going to look different and not be the same anymore. New things on the way! Which I’m happy about! I didn’t put out the clothes like I normally do so, that was a change. I am praying and seeking God about more of the changes to come. I’m sure there is going to be more. I just have to be open minded to what he has. Setting up like this so reminds me of prayer tents to be honest. I remember going to an event awhile ago and they had a tent up for people that wanted prayer. I was one of the volunteers and I loved it! It was very simple. Canopy, table,a few chairs and the people that were praying. I really don't mind being out front with not very much stuff to pray for people. We all need prayer and encouragement. That to me is very important. I know not everyone would want it but it will be available to the ones that do. Sometimes we don’t even know what we want. Lol
About this passed weekend there wasn’t many people that came out. I always learn something though, no matter what. This weekend I learned never believe everything someone says, even if they use God’s name. There was a situation were a person came by and was talking about God and themselves but in an ungodly way. Now that was an unforgettable experience. We really need to be alert about this and I need Holy Spirit to really help me on this. In 2 Corinthians 11:14 it says for Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Well, I got a clear picture of that now. I’m honestly glad to be learning and that I’m around amazing people to be helping me through it. I don’t have much experience in church setting or even with Christians but I am looking forward to doing what God has for me and growing in all areas of my life.
I honestly felt sorry for this person that they are being deceived themselves. All I can really do is pray for them. Hopefully they will come to the acknowledgement of the truth one day.
I remember Jerame Nelson saying “you have to have a backbone to be a revivalists ”. Wow was he right on. My prayer is that I would have a strong one because I would love to impact the world for Jesus!
Although, not many people came out to the yard sale. I ended up praying for the neighborhood and the city. You can never pray enough for that. There is so many people in just one city, it's amazing. I also prayed for the people that think our street is a freeway. Some people drive so fast in residential areas, it's ridiculous. Overall I had a wonder time being out there praying.
Out of the whole weekend I kept in God’s perfect peace and released it into the airwaves. My thought process is, you never know who your going to meet. Sometimes it's just for that one to be open to receive prayer. God is always giving us opportunities to draw closer to him, that for sure.
This coming weekend I will be serving alongside Soldiers of Christ World Outreach Ministry at Rialto Community Park. I will be praying for people that come out to receive a message from God and free food. I love being apart of this amazing event that happens every 3rd Saturday of the month.
I will be interviewing one of the Pastors of SOCWOM on Saturday as well after the event. The purpose of the interview will be for encouragement and to hear what God is doing in the body of Christ. As soon as I record it I will post it for you to watch.
Please say a prayer for me as I will be ministering on Saturday. May Holy Spirit have his way and do whatever pleases our Father in Heaven. It's such a honor and a privilege to be a vessel of God.
Thank you all for reading and supporting me on this journey.
Love and Blessings,
Janel
