Hi everyone! Hope you all had a marvelous new years. I'm looking forward to what God has in store for us this year. I would like to share about what I've been up to these last few weeks. The past two weekends I have been lead by God to put on yard sales. The first weekend was fantastic. We had beautiful weather and a good amount of sales. I was able to pray for the people that stopped by and shopped around. I'm starting to get to know more of my neighbors and I'm finding myself greeting them during the week when I'm out front or on a walk. Which is genuinely delightful. As I'm having these yard sales, I'm learning how to be assertive when it come to people wanting to bargain for a lower price on items. Lol Which sincerely most of the stuff I have is under $5. Some people get truly aggressive and I have to ask Holy Spirit to help me. Sometimes I just say Jesus under my breath so I don't lose my peace. I'm starting to get the hang of it now but at the beginning of having yard sales it was tough. I did have an incident where a lady was looking at my jewelry and took a necklace without paying for it. I'm not completely sure if she did it on purpose or not. I was mad at first then got over it. I forgave her and moved on. I was really hoping that she would bring it back or at least pay for it. But she didn't. PTL that was the first weekend. This past weekend was interesting as well. I truthfully had a hard time wanting to have another this weekend. But I did. It was cloudy and it was in the forecast to rain. I knew there was a reason why God wanted me to put on a yard sale so I was obedient to do so. It was cold and a few people stopped by. Papa God always has a plan and if we stick with it, it will be well worth it. I prayed that it wouldn't rain and that we would have a nice day but about 4 hours in it started to sprinkling. It sprinkled off and on for about 2 hours then I felt lead to put the stuff away. The sprinkles kept coming and didn't stop. We rushed to put everything away and nothing got damaged. Thank you Jesus! I'm also thankful that I have helpers that help me set up and take down everything. I wouldn't be able to do it on my own. I'm absolutely blessed to have this group of helpers. One thing that my friend advised me to do was to change up the yard sales. She gave me tablecloths and said to put the clothes on the actually tables. So that people didn't have to bend down lol I did and it look very neat compared to it being on the lawn. I was actually excited about the next day(Sunday) yard sale because the clouds cleared out and I was extremely ready to sale everything lol. I have a lot of clothes and random items left. Lol A lady stopped and was drawn to my jewelry. I told her how God has given me the ideas to make them. I also shared with her that I pray over each piece of jewelry. She was interested in the bracelets and ended up buying a really pretty one. She had mentioned as she was looking around that she didn't feel good health wise. I put out my hand toward her and said I will pray for you in the name of Jesus for you to feel better. She looked at me surprised then she smiled and said thank you. I said your welcome with a smile and blessed her as she walked toward her car. It amazing how God brings people to the yard sale so that he can bless them. I'm very thankful for these opportunity to pray for people and sale them clothes for a good price. I think everytime I'm going to have a yard sale, it might just be for one person. That one person maybe in need of clothes or a need a touch from God. I'm willing to go out there and show them the love of the father. If it takes putting myself and the stuff out there then why not. I know God would totally do it for me. I was sharing with a friend the other day that it's not about making money but about being obedient to God's will. Yes, it was in the forecast to rain that Saturday but if God says to do it. Do it! To be honest I struggled that morning to get out of bed. But I kept repeating “no matter what I'm going to do it because there is a reason.” If he said to do it there has to be a reason. Everything that day was one step at a time. Doing my best to stay positive and asking God to guide me while I was out there was extremely vital. Those moments when I just wanted to pack everything and get out of the cold weather, I would pray in tongues. That was a huge help to stay in peace. Over all this past weekend was pleasant. I didn't make a lot of sales but maybe my next time I will. I would like to thank you for reading my blog and watching God move in my life. I'm on a quest to tell his people that he loves them. May you have a divine week and stay warm wherever you are this winter day.
