It's that time of year again!
*Homemade Tamales*
This year we are expanding our tamale menu. We have added spinach and pepper jack cheese and for those that like sweet tamales we added Strawberry. I'm not the biggest fan of the sweet tamales but these are delicious! I am selling tamales as a fundraiser to help pay off debt from my last mission trip. I really want to pay off this debt so that I can move forward in the mission field and plan more trips in the future. A dozen of tamales is $20 or if u prefer half dozen it's $12. All funds will go towards my ministry Quest 4 God. I remember making tamales ever since I was a little girl. My family would gather around a huge table and like a assembly line we would all have different jobs to do. I remember for years I was at the end of the table which I disliked. One of the jobs was counting them and we made 100s so it wasn't fun counting well at least not for me. It took me years before I was able to move up to the beginning of the work line. I always wanted to at the beginning of the line because I would get to spread the masa on the corn husk. I thought that was fun. Even though it can be messy. The best advice I can give about spreading the masa on the corn husk is that it's all about the tool that you use. I like using a flat spoon. The round ones don't spread that great.
