This past Saturday I went to serve with Soldier Of Christ World Outreach Ministry at Rialto Community park. I ended up walking there, which was nice. But half way there I stopped because it was so hot. LOL I ended up sitting on a bench at a soccer field and watched a game before heading to the outreach. From where I live to the park it's about 3.5 miles. The soccer field was a little more then half way to the park. I'm so glad that I was able to take a break in between to cool off. I arrived a little after the outreach just started doing some teaching and preaching about the Good News of Jesus Christ. It was perfect timing, as people were coming up and grabbing food we were able to pray for them. Some say yes to prayer and some say no. Either way we show them God's love. We know that God loves them and if it's by giving them food or spending time with them, all that matters is that they see and know that God loves them. There was a couple that was there at the outreach and I honestly felt that they could feel God's pure, holy love as I was praying for them. The lady was so thankful for me praying for her that she hugged me 3 times. It's like she didn't know what to do but I just keep saying "Praise God". He is the one that knows your situations and he is the one that sent me here today to pray for you. I'm honestly just a willing vessel. I know walking in the heat for 3.5 miles wasn't pleasant but afterward it was well worth it. Knowing that I partnered with God for what he had for his children is such a delight. I'm always amazed and blown away how God functions. His ways are higher then our ways, that's for sure.
Another thing I love about God is that he is a God of detail. He knows every detail of our lives and he wants to remind us so we don't forget. I know for myself I tend to forget or think really this small little thing in my life. Is he really going to care or at times we get overwhelmed and don't think that he really does care. I got to tell you that he does. No matter how big or small he cares.
For instance, I meet a young person at the outreach and God told me to tell him that He loves him and that no one on earth can love him the way He can. That right there is a for sure thing that only God can fulfill the desire of true, whole love that we were created for. A pure love that no one can take away or stop.
I want to say that I love praying for people and seeing God do amazing things in their lives. To me it's very rewarding and a reminder of how good He is. It truly brings me joy. At times I get overwhelmed how loving and patient He is with us.
I believe going to the outreach was an assignment fulfilled. I can't wait till the next one.

This is a side note: I believe prayers can change things. I have been playing my guitar (praising and worshiping) and in between that I pray. Whoever and whatever The Lord brings to mind that's what I pray for.
