The 4th of July Event!

Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you all had a great time and enjoyed yourselves yesterday. We sure did! There was a pretty good crowd that showed up. It was really nice to see family's come out and enjoy the activities and firework show.

Here is a picture of us at our booth. We arrived with plenty of time to set up, which was a great idea. We decorated our booth with stars, red pom poms and a cute banner. This was Cynthia's first time vending her jewelry. She honestly did a great job. She made over 40 bracelets for this event. We sold a few things, not as much as we thought but I'm so glad we were apart of this event.

The weather was a little on the hotter side. It was a little windy at the beginning of the event but then picked up more toward the end. Some people didn't bring sandbags or weights so there canopy got over turned by the wind. That was a little scary because it was just out of no where. I am so glad that both times that happened to our booth neighbors no one was walking in front of them. Thank God no one got hurt. One of the canopies was recovered but the other one was broken and thrown away. That's how powerful the wind was. We had jugs full of sand on each corner of the canopy so that worked out great. At times when the wind would pick I would get up from my seat and hold the pole. Just in case, lol. I was a little nervous at times about the wind. I knew that the sand jugs were there but I was like just in case, plus I needed to stretch my legs.

I sold one of my air plants to a little girl. I told her that I hope it brings as much joy to her as it did to me. I honestly was a little sad to see it go, but I know that wherever our stuff goes its because God has a plan in it all. I just took care of it for awhile and now released it to a place where it will bring the presence of God into their home. The little girl look very happy. I also met a man that liked a stone that I use in one of my necklaces. He said he will be contacting me to make men's necklaces for himself. I was like yes, I would love too. I honestly haven't really thought about making men's jewelry but that's something to think and pray about. Over all we had a nice time. Since there was three of us at the booth we all took turns walking around. One of the times I went to go get kettle corn. Omg, I'm a huge fan of it! It's like one of my favorite snacks. Even though two days before I got really sick I still grabbed it so I can have some for the week when I feel better. I rarely get sick and literally two days before I got sick. I had eaten some left overs from the night before and maybe a few hours later my stomach was upside down. It was one of the worst pains I have ever had. So I ended up just resting for those two days before the event and felt way better on the day of the event. Thank God! I honestly just really need to rest. I'm still kinda taking it easy just because I don't want to over due it till I feel 100 percent better. The two ladies were so willing to go without me and still vend my stuff which I am so grateful for them. They are a great team to be working with side by side with. God is so amazing how he brings the right people to work side by side with.

Getting back to the event, the firework show was awesome. The park that was hosting the event was north of the city near the mountains so we were able to see many fireworks from all the city. I was honestly surprised to see so many fireworks go off all around us as we were enjoying it. I was like WOW! Beautiful site but at the same time it makes me wonder. After the firework show we started packing our stuff. It was so cute a little girl and her mom were walking by and the little girl said to me that she liked my stuff with her cute little voice. That totally put a smile on my face. I was like "awww!", so pure and genuine. I told her thank you and smiled at her.

That's how we ended the event.

We didn't make hundreds of dollars, but what I'm realizing is that if God says to do something there is always a reason why. Sometimes seen and sometimes unseen. Overall, I rather be in the will of God and do what I'm lead to fulfill what he calls me to do. I know I have come along way since last year and I am thankful for every opportunity that God places in front of me. I hope this bring you encouragement to follow the lead of God on what your doing in your life, even if it doesn't make sense. Obedience is better then sacrifice and at times its both.

Don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn out the way "you" think just listen to God and he will always satisfy your desires.

Thanks for reading, blessings to you all!
